OUR WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS - HOW IT WORKS

As A Potential DESIGNS IN CLAY Client, you may be wondering what happens or how our website development process works. We've outlined the basics for you right here, and if you have additional questions or require more information, simply let us know. We'll be happy to explain things in more detail.

Step 1

The process begins with you considering the type of website you want to develop and what you want it to accomplish. For example, do you want to provide information to a larger audience, promote yourself, your business, a cause, market an idea, or sell products and merchadise? Once you've decided on your website's purpose, you should also consider how you want visitors to interact with your site, any special performance functions it may need, as well as what creative vision you have or design style that might appeal to you.

Step 2

You contact us with a Request For A Quote, including as much detail as possible. Through the information you provide to us about your project, we will endeavor to determine your needs and the results required to provide you the end product you envision. We may request additional information, and we will also need to determine the level of design customization you want, and that your project will require. At this point, we should have enough information to provide you a price quote.

Step 3

We both agree to move forward with your project, and agree in writing on the project details (scope of work specifically including what work will be completed, identifying the deliverables, and providing you a production timeline for completion) and price. You provide payment.

Step 4

We place your project (usually on a "first come, first served" basis) on our schedule, and provide you with a start date.

Step 5

We will request from you all of the materials needed for us to begin your web development project including text/content, logos and images you wish to include.

Step 6

We begin the design of your site's home page. Based on the information we've received from you, we will complete an initial design concept, and we will contact you for your review and approval. We will provide up to three concepts for you as needed, making any neccessary changes, for you to decide on a design. Once you have selected the design, we will complete the remaining pages of the site.

Step 7

We finalize your project and submit the product to you for final review. Any minor "tweaks" or adjustments are completed at this time.

Step 8

Your website is completed and uploaded to the web.

Step 9

We provide any ongoing/subsequent service to your website, if you have contracted with us to provide those services.
